Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely. The construction internship is a minimum of 300 hours needed for satisfactory of the class. You can sign up for the internship program in any semester. If you are admitted for Summer, you’ll work it as a Full-time job 35-40 hours a week. If you’re admitted for Fall or Spring, you’ll work part-time, 20-30 hours a week. The internship can be in any field related to the Construction industry, and you can complete the internship at your current employment as long as it falls within the industry. Throughout the semester, you’ll check in with your professor with quizzes about the work, how many hours you worked each week, and what you did. if you’d like more information about the internship program fill out our form, and our enrollment coaches will help!
This program is not ideal for students outside the United States. NCCER Modules required for graduation cannot be completed outside the US, and it is not possible to obtain a short term visa to complete the modules in the US.
Yes. Students in this program are required to use a Microsoft-based laptop. Software used in this program functions best with Windows operating systems.
Unfortunately, the coursework required to earn this degree is no longer 100% online for international students, and there is no way for international students to enter the US to complete this classwork.
Yes, this degree is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).

You must enroll in at least 12 credit hours in order to have full-time status for the online Construction Management degree in the spring and fall semesters and at least 9 credit hours in order to have full-time status in the summer semester.
Yes, you’ll start and end classes on the same date as the in-person students do.
It is up to the instructor of a course if exams require a proctor. You should always read the content in the syllabus and online course site to determine if a proctor is needed. Admission Requirements
The following is required from all undergraduate applicants:
- Application for Undergraduate Admission
- $45 non-refundable application fee
- An official high school transcript for freshman (high school) applicants OR official transcripts from all institutions attended after high school for transfer applicants
- Submission of ACT or SAT scores for freshman (high school) applicants
- Documentation of two doses of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) immunization. Upload a copy of your proof of immunization.

- A minimum grade of “C” is required on core courses
- A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required to be accepted into the construction management program.
- Construction Management (CM) majors are required to own a Windows-based laptop computer to be used in courses. Specifications are available on the School of Construction and Design website under the Student Info menu item.
